Since the beginning of 2015, thousands of applicants have been chosen for the Express Entry system. 2016 has already seen two draws, with the most recent held on the 13th January. This exciting process issued a total of 1,518 invitations to lucky recipients from around the world.
This particular draw has seen an 8-point drop since the last draw in 2015. While this may seem insignificant, over the past year, the CRS point requirement has decreased from 489 to 453.
How does Express Entry work?
The program is an electronic process which involves both the federal and provincial government, as well as Canadian employers.
Applicants can register electronically under Express Entry by providing the following information:
- Work experience
The Canadian Government will then select candidates based on their credentials and invite them to apply under the Federal Immigration Programs such as the Federal Skilled Workers Program or the Federal Skilled Trades Program.
