In a communication posted on their website, New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) have notified applicants that the program is facing delays due to the sheer number of applications waiting to be processed.

The news update states that the program will continue to prioritise applications for individuals who are already working in New Brunswick or have a local job offer. However, candidates who currently have an application in progress are advised not to contact the province in regards to the status of their application as such queries will only increase delays and will therefore not be answered.

The NBPNP however, seeks to assure applicants that once a decision has been made on their applications, there will be communication, although a time frame for this communication has yet to be set.

The NBPNP includes the Express Entry Labour Market Stream (EELMS), the Skilled Worker with Family Support Stream, the Skilled Worker with Employer Support Stream, and the Business Applicants Stream. Any eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool may submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the EELMS. Successful candidates under this stream will receive an enhanced provincial nomination certificate which may result in an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the following Express Entry draw.
