The Surrey campus, which is set on the traditional territories of q̓íc̓əy̓ (Katzie), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Qayqayt, Kwantlen, Semiahmoo and Tsawwassen peoples, opened in 2002. This campus is home to the university's cutting-edge initiatives and programs.
