What Is Express Entry?
Express Entry is what Canada has created to obtain permanent residence for immigrants through steamrolling the process as their needs arise for more skilled, educated or experienced workers. It encompasses the federal immigration programs of Canada, namely the Federal Skilled Worker program, Federal Trades Program and Canadian Experience Class. The speed at which applications are processed makes it a popular choice for prospective applicants. There are over 70 categories to choose from when applying for a visa in Canada and Express Entry can grant you permanent residence in as little as 6 months.

Latest Stats on the Express Entry Draw of 24 July 2019
In the Express Entry draw of 24 July 2019, 3600 immigrants were invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada. Of those immigrants who received invitations to apply, the lowest Comprehensive Ranking Score was 459. What this means is that you would need to have scored at least 459 points or higher to have had a chance to be invited to apply for permanent residency in the latest Express Entry draw. The number of invitations to apply are exactly the same as the last draw which took place on July 10th and averages in the middle of the number of IT’s for Express Entry draws in 2019, which ranges between 3300 and 3900 invitations.
The Comprehensive Ranking Score of the pool of candidates has slightly decreased, which can be attributed to the short time between the bi-monthly draws. The Express Entry draws in 2019 have typically taken place on a two-week basis, which means that there is not sufficient time for new applicants with higher CRS scores to enter the pool between the last and the new draws. This is most likely the reason that a slight drop can be seen between the CRS score of 460 that took place in the first draw this month versus the 459 score of the Express Entry draw on July 24th. Overall, the lowest CRS score has remained relatively steady in 2019, ranging between a score of 450 and 470.
